Throughout the start of my career I noticed a great absence of high level blades by modern smiths representing the African continent. This gyuto is my first offering to that observation.

My inspiration for this kitchen knife came from a Congolese, Baboa dagger. Immediately I saw its culinary potential, and married its form to that of the Japanese chef knife.
