This class will be tailored around a timeframe that the customer decides is the most convenient, and that I decide is the most actionable.
On this class I will be taking you through the necessary steps to sharpen Japanese swords and I will explain the theory behind producing the best and most suitable edge. After a demonstration you will move on to sharpen your own sword with my guidance. For swords especially it is important to remember that each one has a unique condition and you must use your own judgment from sword to sword while applying the core concepts of what I teach on this coarse.
Please prepare your own sword and sharpening equipment. Your sword must be in good condition as blades that seem to "need the work"/ project blades are often too far gone to effectively learn from.
