This blade is simply a smaller version of the standard nakiri and works great for those just cookjng for themselves.
The nakiri is a favourite blade shape of mine, it is extremely enjoyable to use in its area of expertise. Many people damage nakiri, mistaking their rectangular shape for a cleaver, but it is a different tool complely. The Nakiri is a dedicated vegetable knife and still a precision tool. They are great for cutting through all types of veg, especially large veg. They do well to cut through ingredients such as yams without splitting or cracking them. Use pull and push cuts instead of impact chops.
